I am Ankit kumar who chose to pursue a degree in Architecture but was a bit confused because I was not sure about how rewarding the profession of Architecture would be.
After a lot of deliberation and thinking, I chose Architecture with full commitment because I noticed there was an upcoming need of architects in Dehradun, my home town. Post the decision, I started searching for a good Architecture college or university that could be my platform to build a thriving career. It is important to choose an academic institution with good infrastructure if you wish to pursue architecture. Architecture graduates should have a proper knowledge of what architecture is all about as it’s not only about drafting and drawing. They need to be familiar with different designing software to work with and should come up with creative ideas with working detail that can be executed on field as the professional industry feels that even a simple design cannot be executed properly without a correct working detail. So the college or university plays the most important role in the success of architectures and that’s why I ended up finalizing M.M School of Architecture, MMU Sadopur campus.
Today when I look back, I appreciate the practical exposure we all got during the program because it played an important role in the life of student who is going to be a future architect. Institute does its best for their students and helps them to gain more knowledge by the means of practical training; even the provision of various workshops and frequent site visits also help us to learn practical aspects. Talking about the Teaching pedagogy of our institute, it is excellent. Simply because the faculty members during our time worked much harder on us than we did on ourselves to make us eminent and successful! They taught us to deal with tough situations and even guided us to work as team with full commitment.
The beauty of MMU lies in its diversity as there were students from each and every part of the country; this made us learn so many things and grow up as global human beings. I must give the credit of my success to MMU because when I started the course at the institute; I was an average guy who was just there for further studies but the day I came out, I was a confident lad who was ready to shape its own future with lots of dreams to be fulfilled. Extracurricular activities have always been a major part to boost my confidence to higher level, it guided me that what all things I can do and how creatively I can present my work in a limited period of time.
Today, I have started my own entrepreneurship independently and few of my ongoing projects include residential as well as commercial projects that not only pay me handsomely but also give me abundant gratification.
