Incredible Achievements of a student

MMU

I am Isha Tiwari from Maharashtra, currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in architecture from M.M School of Architecture, MMU, Sadopur,Ambala,Haryana. I always had this career vision of providing ethical architectural services to the society so as to lead towards the betterment of the country.  Architecture fascinates me. With a desire to explore how science and technology can be used to improve the performance of buildings both socially and environmentally, architecture has brought out the dichotomy of my personality, allowing me to engage both creatively and scientifically with the aesthetic and functional aspects of design.

I wanted to be a part of that college or university which allows me to explore my ideas, to question the set beliefs and gives me the freedom to think and do the new. I always wanted to take admission in a college where there will be focus on each and every student along with a proper mentorship. I am glad I chose MMU

Teachers in MMU have always been keen to spread and transfer the knowledge that they have. They not only help us in studies but also help every student to face other problems also that life throws. In my heart, they all hold a great sense of respect. MMU has a very friendly and conducive to growth environment. Students come from each and every corner of country and feel like home in the campus.

Healthy environment of M.M School of Architecture, MMU, Sadopur plays a vital role in making the students comfortable.

I have been awarded as the academic achiever in school for consecutive three years. In my first three years of architecture, I participated in many co-curricular activities and fests like Srijan (inter-college annual fest) and Archventure, NASA. Working in a team, we bagged best college trophy in Archventure-2016 held in GCAD, Sonepat. I owe very much to my college for my achievements till date. The facilities here helped me in bringing laurels to the college.

I also participated in INSDAG (Institute for Steel Development & Growth) design competition. After clearing the zone level, our team of four students presented the design on national level and was awarded the second prize.

MMSOA has always been a platform to express, learn and explore new thoughts and ideas. I always have loved the ideology of preaching in this college. We are never forced to cram the things up. In this college, learning is by incorporating practicality off the profession, making us understand even the intricate details.

Whenever I look at my personality that I had in first year, I track a great change. I was lacking in self-confidence, maturity and sensibility towards people and situations. But now I am at a much better place. I understand things and people more. All this is only because of the exposure to the salutary environment of the college. Extra-curricular activities are meant to develop creativity in our minds and being an active participant in these activities, I have seen myself grow and assimilate more and more day-by-day.

Thanks to MMU, I have attended many workshops during my tenure. Most useful of them includes Universal Design Workshop by Ar. Kavita Murugkar, Swaraj workshop by Ar. Gaurav Shorey, GIAN workshop on Sustainability by foreign Ar. Paola Sassi.
